Celebrating African Heritage Month

Portraits of a woman alongside a portrait of a mother, father and child from African communities in Eastern Nova Scotia.
These photographs of people from African Nova Scotian communities in Eastern Nova Scotia were provided by the Antigonish Heritage Museum.

Every February during African Heritage Month, we are invited to recognize and celebrate the culture, legacy, achievements and contributions of people of African descent in Nova Scotia- both from the past and present. We've brought together select resources and initiatives the Library offers to help the StFX community commemorate and learn more.
