Health and Counselling Services
Whether you’re a new student or a returning student, we’d like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Health & Counselling Centre. We have mental health clinicians, nurses and physicians to help you with your health care needs. Below you will find information to help you make use of our services.
Note: If you are a Canadian citizen, please have your provincial health card available. International students, please have your health insurance information available.
Book an Appointment
Your first appointment will be an Intake Assessment with one of our Nurses. When booking this appointment online, you can choose a General Health appointment or a Mental Health one. The Nurse will speak with you privately, to get information about your health concern and she will then direct you to the right service after carefully listening and evaluating your physical and/or mental health needs. She will then book you an appointment with one or more of the following professionals at the Health & Counselling Centre: Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Therapist, or a specialized Nurse, and will also recommend other university supports, as well as community-based and online resources that may be helpful.
