Interdisciplinary Studies

There are no 100-level Interdisciplinary Studies courses offered by the University. Courses under this designation are offered at the 300-level only, and require third-year or fourth-year status for registration. Interested students should explore IDS 305 (Immersion Service Learning), IDS 306 (Service Learning: Theory and Practice), and IDS 398 (Selected Topics: Service Learning in Ghana) in the Academic Calendar.

StFX espi-kina’matno’kuom etek Mi’kma’ki, wejkwa’taqanik Mi’kmaq maqamikewmuew mna’q iknmuetu’tik. Nalikitquniejk na Mi’kmawey wisun wjit Antigonish teluek Aklasie’w-iktuk, ‘place where branches are torn off.’

StFX is located in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaw people. The Mi'kmaw name for Antigonish is Nalikitquniejk, meaning ‘place where branches are torn off.’
