Watch Now: Canada and US Relations: Navigating Chaos, Threats, and Disruption
StFX Distinguished Speaker Series

In late March, StFX was pleased to gather thought leaders and political experts for an engaging discussion as part of its Distinguished Speaker Series: Canada and US Relations – Navigating Chaos, Threats and Disruptions in the White House. This discussion, featuring StFX faculty and alumni, is a great representation of how a small, immersive university like StFX shapes leaders who in turn shape the direction of government policy and business growth.

If you haven't already, we encourage you to watch the session and share it with colleagues and friends:

Thursday May 1, 2025 at 7pm, at the Antigonish Heritage Museum, join StFX author Matthew Anderson for the launch of Someone Else's Saint: How a Scottish Pilgrimage led to Nova Scotia (Pottersfield Press April 2025).

Enjoy wonderful music by Mary Beth Carty, a Gaelic blessing by Lewis MacKinnon, and readings by Matthew Anderson from a new book that features two unusual pilgrimages in search of Ninian, the mysterious saint who almost gave StFX its name -- one of them right here in Antigonish.

Matthew is currently Gatto Chair of Christian Studies in the Department of Religious Studies.
