Neil Maltby

Neil Maltby is Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and International Business in the Department of Management at StFX University. His teaching and research interests focus on small business & start-ups, growth and internationalization. He teaches Entrepreneurship, New Venture Development, Entrepreneurial Finance and International Business, and has offered courses in International Business at South-Central University for Nationalities, Wuhan, China and Changzhou University, Changzhou, China.
In partnership with the StFX Discoverbox, the Faculty of Education and the entrepreneurship society Enactus, Neil leads the entrepreneurial ecosystem at StFX University. This involves supporting students and new venture development, launches, and fundraising. Over the last ten years Neil has organized over forty student pitch events, mentored summer entrepreneurial internships, supported students in regional pitch competitions, and supported ongoing ventures of graduates. Neil is the co-Founder of Impact X, a summit on entrepreneurship and social impact https://impactxsummit.ca/.

Neil led three international exchange programs for students to China and Cuba, and served as the Schwartz International Exchange Faculty Advisor for 15 years. A proponent of engaging pedagogy, Neil led the implementation of business simulations, three international academic mobility consortia, classroom response systems, an online stock market simulation, and is the co-founder of the Annual Global Issues Forum.
