This year, forecasters from NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center expect 8-13 named hurricanes with winds of 119 kmph or greater, including 4-7 major hurricanes (winds of 179 kmph or greater). September is the peak of hurricane season.
Join us for a Town Hall on Disaster Preparedness at the Community Room of the Antigonish Library on Wednesday,
September 4th from 7PM-9PM. Speakers will include representatives from the Antigonish Regional Emergency Management Office and the Red Cross.
