Betsy MacDonald is a communications and digital marketing professional who nurtures StFX’s online presence as a Web Content Specialist. A proud StFX alumna (’07), she earned an MA in Social Justice and Equity Studies from Brock University before diving into non-profit work, focusing on youth empowerment and gender-based violence prevention.

Her path then led her to the political sphere, where she honed her skills in social media management, email marketing and fundraising while supporting the work of provincial elected officials. She also channelled her commitment to advocacy and public service into running twice for federal office.

Now, she has come full circle, returning to StFX as both a professional and a student, pursuing a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Digital Marketing. A storyteller at heart, she is passionate about crafting narratives that connect and inspire. She is deeply motivated by Xaverian values and their potential to create positive change in the world.
