The StFX English Society and the Antigonish Review Present: Atlantic Canada Undergraduate Poetry Competition. Students must submit an original poem by March 1st, 2024. The winner will be published in The Antigonish Review and receive $200.

To apply: email your submission in a Word document (.docx) or PDF format to @email by March 1st, 2024.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Maximum 2 pages long
  • Subject heading: StFX Atlantic Canada Undergraduate Poetry Competition
  • Can be any style, topic, or poetic form
  • Open to students of any major or program from any university in Atlantic Canada

Include your email and a short biography (roughly 50 words) stating your name, preferred pronouns, university affiliation, and year of study. The winner will be contacted by email before the end of the 2023-24 school year.

About The Antigonish Review:

MacSween in 1970, The Antigonish Review is the third longest-running creative-writing journal in the Maritimes and one of the oldest continuing literary magazines in Canada. TAR reaches readers throughout Canada and the United States, as well as in countries like Germany, Korea, France, Saudi Arabia, England, and the Netherlands.
