Numerous societies exist at StFX that allow students to become actively involved in academic and university life, work on projects that positively affect many, and further develop and apply their leadership skills. Included in these opportunities are business focused societies that allow students in the Schwartz School of Business to grow as future leaders while making an impact.

Women in Business

The Schwartz Women in Business Society hosts various skill building and networking events throughout the year, such as corporate tours, panels, and workshops. The society also proudly organizes the largest undergraduate women in business conference in Atlantic Canada.

Enactus StFX is a campus society dedicated to entrepreneurship, green business, financial education and so much more. Enactus StFX runs projects to benefit the local and global community.

JDC Central is Canada’s fastest growing business student competition. JDC Central is a three-day event that showcases athletics, social spirit, and charity, with an emphasis on academics.

StFX espi-kina’matno’kuom etek Mi’kma’ki, wejkwa’taqanik Mi’kmaq maqamikewmuew mna’q iknmuetu’tik. Nalikitquniejk na Mi’kmawey wisun wjit Antigonish teluek Aklasie’w-iktuk, ‘place where branches are torn off.’

StFX is located in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaw people. The Mi'kmaw name for Antigonish is Nalikitquniejk, meaning ‘place where branches are torn off.’
