“Visual arguments” that support conclusions with pictures instead of (or in addition to) sentences have been discussed for almost two, but the logic of such arguments remains an emerging field of study. I will discuss the logical assessment of visual arguments of many different sorts (political, scientific, forensic, etc.) and different approaches to this assessment.  In the process I will discuss the work of a number of philosophers who have contributed to the development of informal logic movement (Michael Gilbert, Ian Dove, Georges Roque, Anthony Blair, and others).
