How are residence assignments handled?
1st year students who confirm their spot by paying their confirmation fee to Admissions are guaranteed a residence offer. Residence room assignments are emailed to students by late July/early August.
For more info about residence dates and deadlines, view the table above.
Can I have a pet on campus?
In accordance with Nova Scotia regulations, only certified service dogs are permitted in residence. Service dogs must be trained and certified to assist individuals with disabilities as defined under the Nova Scotia Service Dog Act. Emotional support animals, therapy animals, or pets do not qualify as service dogs under this legislation and are therefore not permitted in residence.
Residents with a certified service dog must provide valid documentation upon request to verify their service dog's certification. This policy is in place to ensure compliance with provincial regulations while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all residents.
